Turning A Merger Into A Leadership Advantage

The Challenge

A regional executive committee was navigating the integration of two organizations following a merger in Latin American. Beyond the operational challenges, success required the leadership team to develop stronger alignment and a shared strategic vision to unlock the full potential of the new organization.

Three priorities guided the intervention:

  • Enhance each executive team member’s unique strengths to ignite collective performance.

  • Reinforce mutual understanding and trust among team members.

  • Improve communication and collaboration across leadership styles.

Our Approach

We designed a tailored leadership program combining individual coaching and group workshops to reshape team dynamics, drawing on a customized competency framework, DISC behavioral insights and strengths exploration.

By uncovering individual leadership strengths and communication styles, we helped the executive team recognize how their differences could become complementary strengths and accelerate collective performance.

The program connected these interpersonal dynamics with business growth objectives through an integrated action plan, linking strategic priorities with individual and collective development goals.

The Turning Point

Realising that the new organization was an opportunity not only to strengthen individual leadership capabilities, but also to reignite strategic ambition by leveraging the team's complementary strengths.

The Impact

The intervention created a shared language for discussing leadership dynamics and laid the foundation for stronger executive collaboration.

By connecting behavioral awareness with strategic alignment, the team was better equipped to navigate the integration, leverage its collective strengths and work toward shared business objectives.
